Volunteer Opportunities

There will be training sessions for all of these positions.

Nominating Committee

  • Liaison with membership

  • Accept nominations of volunteers

  • Present slate of candidates at June Meeting

  • 2-month commitment

 

Newsletter Editor

  • Experience with Microsoft Publisher

  • Attend Board Meetings, first Monday of every month as well as the monthly KCGS meetings the 2nd Monday of each month.

  • Material is obtained from Board meetings and monthly KCGS monthly meetings as well as any other research information deemed pertinent to KCGS membership.
     

One-on-One Coordinator

  • Library liaison

  • Coordinate & attend each session (6/year)

  • Friendly

 

Calendar Coordinator

  • Computer experience

  • Data entry

  • Very easy program to learn

 

DNA Special Interest Group (SIG) Coordinator

  • Interest in DNA

  • Webinars available for classes

  • Meeting times & dates at your discretion

 

Summer Children’s Genealogy Program

  • Design program

  • 1 session during summer

  • Team teach, if desire

  • Date, time, length of program at your discretion

 

Indexing Kenosha News Obituaries, marriages, births

  • Computer experience

  • Work from home as time permits

 

Scan Kenosha Obituaries, marriages, births

  • Computer experience - minimal

  • Own a scanner

  • Work from home as time permits
